Batch experiments are carried out for the adsorption of direct yellow 17, reactive blue 4 and rhodamine B dyes by Sorel’s cement. The operating variables studied are initial dye concentration (Ci ), pH, temperature and contact time. The equilibrium data are fitted to the Langmuir isotherm equations and the adsorption efficiency, adsorption capacity and dimensionless separation factor are calculated.
