Abstract

Batch experiments are carried out for the adsorption of direct yellow 17, reactive blue 4 and rhodamine B dyes by Sorel’s cement. The operating variables studied are initial dye concentration (C_i ), pH, temperature and contact time. The equilibrium data are fitted to the Langmuir isotherm equations and the adsorption efficiency, adsorption capacity and dimensionless separation factor are calculated.
