Lucky bamboo, which is known as Dracaena, Ribbon Dracaena, or Ribbon Plant, is generally classified as a shrub. The objective of this study was to investigate the effect of NAA on root system of Dracaena sanderiana scions. For this purpose, a split plot experiment in the form of a randomized complete block design with seven replications was established. The designed treatments consisted of five level of NAA 0, 100,200, 300 and 400 ppm (a1, a2, a3, a4 and a5) in three times of 24, 48 and 72 hours (t1, t2 and t3). Finally, traits of number and length of root, diameter of root, number and length of bud were measured. The result indicated that treatment of a4t1 had maximum diameter of root. Treatments of a2t3, a3t1, a3t2, a3t3 and a4t2 had maximum number of roots without any significant difference. Also, treatments of a1t1, a2t1 and a3t1 had the longest root without any significant difference. Finally, NAA has positive effect on lucky bamboo growth system and with increasing NAA concentration, diameter of plant was increased but, length of plant was decreased.
