Objectives: To design and implement a poor posture indicator device based on the use of accelerometers and an Android application. Methods/Analysis: It begins with the design of the circuits based on the selected sensors, the characterization of these from a specific distribution along the spine and finally the development of a mobile application that allows to alert bad posture according to a certified standard in orthopedics. Findings: The back was approached from the biomechanical point of view through three basic curves to determine if a person is or is not well positioned in order to alert him about his bad posture so that he can correct it and thus reduce the likelihood of suffering ailments in the future. Improvements: The way in which the sensors are secured to the user can be improved, thus ensuring their proper operation.
