Objectives: This study aims to grasp an enterprise’s monopoly mechanism strategy on the subject of Korea’s ICT industry and propose monopoly strategy through it. Methods/Statistical Analysis: For 9 monopoly mechanism drawn from foregoing studies, direct survey was conducted on the subject of 50 ICT enterprise practitioners. Survey was made using 5-point Likert scale from 1 point of don’t agree at all to 5 points of agree very much. Finally, for 9 monopoly mechanisms analysis was made through means and dispersal standard deviation. Findings: This study is to reveal differences in the effectiveness of the appropriation mechanism that can reflect the characteristics of the ICT industry and domestic situations and classify the types. The importance was found in the order of patents, complementary sales/service, trade secret and lead-time, patents to prevent duplication, design registered and economies of scale, confidentiality by making technology or design complicated, manufacturing complementation in the H/W industry. In the S/W industry, the importance was found in the order of complementary sales/service, complementary manufacturing, patents, economies of scale, patents to prevent duplication, trade secret, lead-time, confidentiality by making technology or design complicated. Improvements/ Applications: Results of this study may help domestic ICT enterprises model the optimized mechanism plan for the monopoly of compensation and profit for technological innovation and conduct monopoly mechanism strategy.
