Objective: The objective of this paper is to evaluate the computation of detecting faces from still images with the utilization of adaboost algorithm. Methods: The dataset is collected from the web. The chosen image is converted into gray scale image. Sum of the pixel values are calculated with the utilization of summed area table. For each step of iteration, adaboost learn and reconstruct the weight value. For classification, cascade classifiers are used to differentiate face and non-face regions. Findings: The method is suitable for frontal view face images only
