Game-type kidult toys based on Augmented Reality (AR) have been introduced to the market and they have attracted much interest from users. It seems time to view this trend from various perspectives, not just that of games, and to try to discuss the issue in terms of convergence with other disciplines. The current paper aims to perform a comparative analysis of IT technology-based kidult toys and develop new kidult culture contents utilizing AR. The results of the present research are expected to help vitalize and expand the area of AR-based culture contents.
