Abstract

The article considers the innovative development issues in the regions of the Russian Federation (RF), emphasizing the importance of transition of Russian economy to an innovative path of development. The authors consider some of the issues of innovative structure of the RF regions and present certain indicators of their innovative activity, as well as various peculiarities of regional innovation structure formation. The authors propose some recommendations to improve the institutional environment for innovative development of Russian regions.
